Why connect Google Search Console?
Connect Search Console so Inseo can read which property you already verified and pull real search queries into Prompt Lab. Domain coverage, sitemap submit, and Bing setup stay manual in Google — connection does not change your Search Console for you.
Connecting is optional and read-only. It helps Prompt Lab use real Google queries — it does not replace the Domain, sitemap, and Bing steps you still finish in Google.

Real questions for Prompt Lab
Once connected, Inseo can read Search Analytics from your main site property and prefer those queries in Prompt Lab — so Fit scores against questions people already type in Google, not only suggested buyer questions.
Property status
We can see whether you have a Domain property (covers go.yourdomain) or only a www URL-prefix. That tells us which manual steps below still matter.
What connection does not do
We do not change Search Console for you
Connect is read-only. We do not add Domain properties, paste DNS records, or submit sitemaps on your behalf. Those steps still happen in Google Search Console (and optionally Bing).
Not required for indexing
Your hosted host already serves robots.txt and sitemap.xml. You can still add the property and submit the sitemap in Google without connecting Inseo. Connection is for smarter Prompt Lab prompts and clearer status — not a ranking switch.
When to connect
Connect if
You want Prompt Lab grounded in real Google demand, or you want Inseo to tell you whether Domain already covers your hosted subdomain.
Skip if
You only need to get the hosted URL into Google for now. Use the Domain / sitemap / Bing steps without connecting — you can connect later.

Is connection required?
No. It is optional. Publishing and the Google/Bing checklist work without it.
Can Inseo edit my Search Console?
No. We only request read access. Domain setup and sitemap submit stay in Google’s UI.
Will my new hosted page have query data right away?
Usually not. New URLs can take days. Prompt Lab uses main-site queries first; hosted-page data can be added later when impressions exist.
