IndexNow is an open protocol that notifies Bing, Yandex, and other partners when a URL is new or updated, so crawlers can discover changes faster than sitemap polling alone. It speeds discovery; it does not guarantee indexing or AI citation.

How Inseo uses it
Optional on publish
On your subdomain, we already serve robots.txt, sitemap.xml, llms.txt, and an IndexNow key file. Notifying IndexNow is optional — you can enable it in the publish confirmation, or later from the studio page while the page is live.
No Search Console login
You do not need Bing Webmaster Tools or Google Search Console credentials for this ping. Inseo hosts the key file and submits the live URL when you opt in.
FAQ
Do I have to enable IndexNow?
No. Sitemap and robots.txt still help crawlers find your page. IndexNow is an extra, faster signal when you want it.
Does Google use IndexNow?
Google is not listed as an IndexNow participant. Bing, Yandex, and other engines that support the protocol receive the ping. Google can still discover the URL via sitemap and links.
Can I notify later?
Yes. If the page is already live and you skipped IndexNow at publish, turn on IndexNow from the studio page. You will see a short confirmation before we notify engines.
What if I unpublish?
If IndexNow was used for that URL, Inseo pings again so participating engines recrawl. A 404 helps them drop the page. Google is not in IndexNow — use the Search Console / Bing checklist and the live sitemap for Google.
